Some cookies are necessary for site functionality, and others are used for analytics and advertising (see “Third-Party Services and Cookies” below for details). You will see a cookie notice on our site – by clicking “Accept” on our cookie banner, you agree that we collect and aggregate data through these cookiesrohrerhandymanservices.com. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing and Improving Services: The primary use of your personal information is to respond to your requests and provide our handyman services. We use your name and contact details (email, phone, address) to communicate with you about your inquiry, schedule appointments, send estimates, and dispatch our team to your location. For example, if you request an estimate or service, we will use your phone or email to get in touch and coordinate the work. We also share the necessary details with our field staff or contractors to ensure they have the information needed to perform the job.

  • Operational Coordination (Including Parent Company): Rohrer Handyman Services works closely with our parent company, Rohrer for Construction, for certain operations and administrative supportrohrerhandymanservices.com. Therefore, we may share your information with Rohrer for Construction for business purposes such as scheduling, project management, or customer service. Any information shared with our parent company will be used solely to facilitate your requested services and internal administrative processes. Both RHS and Rohrer for Construction will protect your data consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Service Improvement and Analytics: We continually strive to improve our offerings and user experience. To that end, we analyze aggregated usage data to understand how our website is performing and how users engage with itycomgroup.com. For instance, we look at which pages are visited most often, what search terms lead users to our site, and how effective our navigation is. This analysis is largely done through Google Analytics and similar tools, which provide reports on website traffic. The insights help us optimize our website layout, content, and services. Additionally, we may use feedback or information you provide in inquiries to improve our customer service and range of handyman services.

  • Marketing and Advertising: We may use certain data to inform our marketing strategies. For example, if you submit a request or browse our site, we might later show you ads about our services on platforms like Facebook or Google. We use the Facebook (Meta) Pixel on our website, which tracks user interactions for the purpose of measuring ad conversions and building audiences for our ads. This means that information about your visit (such as pages visited or actions taken) may be used to show you relevant advertisements for our services on Facebook/Meta’s platforms. The data collected via the Pixel and similar tools is aggregated and helps us understand the effectiveness of our advertising – we do not receive personally identifiable information like your name from these ad toolscreate.net. If you have contacted us or are an existing customer, we may also use your contact information to send occasional updates about our services or new offerings, but only in accordance with applicable law (and you will have the ability to opt out of such communications).

  • Legal and Compliance: Where necessary, we may use or disclose your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes or government requests. For example, we could use your data to protect our rights and property, to enforce the terms of any agreements you have with us, or to detect and prevent fraud or other security issues. (While this is a use of data, it will only occur under special circumstances required or permitted by law.)

Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We treat your personal information with care and do not sell or rent it to third parties for their own marketing. However, we do share information in certain circumstances as part of running our business, as detailed below:

  • Sharing with Rohrer for Construction: As noted, we may share your information with our parent company, Rohrer for Construction, which is closely associated with Rohrer Handyman Servicesrohrerhandymanservices.com. This sharing is only for legitimate business purposes – for example, Rohrer for Construction might assist with larger in-home remodeling projects (as indicated by the “In-Home Remodeling” service link on our siterohrerhandymanservices.com) or provide administrative support. Any personal information shared with the parent company remains protected under the terms of this Policy, and the parent will not use your data for any purpose other than assisting Rohrer Handyman Services in serving you or as otherwise permitted by this Policy.

  • Service Providers and Third-Party Partners: We use trusted third-party services to operate our website and business. This includes website hosting providers, email communication services, analytics providers (like Google Analytics), advertising platforms (like Facebook/Meta), and any online booking or form submission tools integrated into our site. These third parties may process information on our behalf for the purposes outlined in this Policy. For example, our web hosting service stores the data from our site and form submissions securely on their servers; our analytics and advertising partners collect usage data via cookies to provide us reports and ad services (more on this in the next section). We share with these providers only the information necessary for them to perform their functions, and we require that they protect your information and use it only for the agreed-upon purpose.

  • Online Booking Tools: If our site utilizes an online scheduling or booking system (now or in the future), the information you enter to book appointments (such as your name and contact info) may be collected by that tool and shared with us. For instance, we might use a third-party scheduling software or plugin to allow you to pick an appointment slot. Any data you provide in that process will be used to schedule and confirm your appointment and will be subject to that third-party tool’s privacy practices as well. We will ensure any such provider is reputable and contractually obligated to safeguard your data.

  • Legal Requirements and Protection: We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, court order, or subpoena, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Rohrer Handyman Services or Rohrer for Construction, (iii) prevent fraud, investigate potential wrongdoing, or enforce our Terms and Conditions, or (iv) protect the personal safety of our customers or the public.

  • Business Transfers: In the unlikely event that our business or assets are merged with or acquired by another company, or if we undergo a reorganization, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would ensure the new owner continues to handle your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy (or provides notice and obtains consent for any changes).

  • No Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent use, and we do not share your information for third-party direct marketing. All sharing is limited to the situations described above which are integral to our services (such as sharing with our parent company or service providers acting on our behalf).

Third-Party Services and Cookies

Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Rohrer Handyman Services uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website to provide a better user experience, analyze visitor behavior, and support our marketing efforts. When you first visit our site, you are presented with a cookie notice informing you that we use cookies to analyze traffic and optimize your experiencerohrerhandymanservices.com. By clicking “Accept” or continuing to use the site, you agree to our use of cookies as described in this Policy.

  • Google Analytics: We utilize Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to analyze how users use our siteycomgroup.com. The information generated by these cookies about your use of the website (which can include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers (which may be outside your state or country). Google Analytics helps us review aggregated data about site traffic and interactions – for example, it tells us which pages are most popular and how users navigate through our site. We use this information to improve the site’s content, layout, and performance. Google does not provide us with personally identifying information about you; we receive the analysis in aggregate formycomgroup.com. (Google may also use the collected data for its own purposes in accordance with Google’s privacy policy, but it will not associate your IP address or browsing habits on our site with any other data they hold about you personallyycomgroup.com.) If you wish, you can opt out of Google Analytics – see “Your Choices” below for options.

  • Facebook/Meta Pixel: Our website also uses the Facebook Pixel (now known as the Meta Pixel) to aid in our digital advertising efforts. The Facebook Pixel is a piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook’s parent company) that runs on our site and collects information about user actions. This may include data such as HTTP headers (your IP address, browser and device information, page location, referrer URL) and pixel-specific data (like the Pixel ID and cookie identifiers)create.net. The Pixel allows us to track certain events (for example, if you visited a specific service page or submitted a form) and later measure the effectiveness of our Facebook ads related to those events. It also enables us to build anonymized audiences for ad targeting – for instance, we might target ads to people who visited our site or a particular page. All data collected through the Facebook Pixel is handled by Facebook in accordance with their data policy. We do not see individual personal data from the Pixel; rather, Facebook provides us aggregated reports on ad performance and tools to reach people with relevant ads. In using the Pixel, we adhere to Facebook’s requirements to disclose this usagecustomgeekery.com – thus, we are informing you that by browsing our site, your visit may be tracked via cookies for advertising analytics purposes. If you do not want Facebook or other tracking cookies to capture information about your visit, see “Managing Cookies & Opt-Out Options” below for ways to control cookies.

  • Online Forms and Scheduling Tools: When you fill out our online forms (such as requesting a service or an insurance work assessment), those forms may be powered by plugins or services that utilize cookies or scripts to function. For example, our form may use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam submissions. Google reCAPTCHA is a service that runs in the background when you fill forms to determine if you are a human and not a bot; in doing so it may collect hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and send that data to Google for analysisrohrerhandymanservices.com. This helps protect our site from fraudulent or abusive submissions. The use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Servicerohrerhandymanservices.com. Additionally, if we use a third-party scheduling widget or booking system, that system might set its own cookies to remember your session or preferences while you use it. We will provide appropriate notice if additional third-party tools are introduced.

Managing Cookies & Opt-Out Options: You have choices regarding cookies and similar trackers on our site:

  • Browser Settings: Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies or alert you when a cookie is being placed on your device. Check your browser’s help section for instructions on how to delete or disable cookies. Please note that if you disable cookies entirely, some features of our site (such as form submissions or preference settings) may not function properly.

  • Cookie Banner: If our website’s cookie banner offers options (e.g., “Accept” or “Reject” cookies), you can choose to reject non-essential cookies. If you simply ignore the banner and continue using the site without clicking “Accept,” only essential cookies may be used, depending on our configuration. (Our current implementation assumes consent upon clicking “Accept”; if you do not want analytics cookies, you may consider adjusting your browser settings as described above.)

  • Google Analytics Opt-Out: Google provides an Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on that you can install on your browser to prevent Google Analytics from collecting information on any site you visit. This tool is available at Google’s website. Using it will stop data from your visits from being used in Google Analytics reports.

  • Advertising Choices: For the Facebook/Meta Pixel and other advertising cookies, you can manage your ad preferences directly on platforms like Facebook (see your Facebook account Ad Settings for opting out of certain ads). Additionally, the Digital Advertising Alliance offers a tool at aboutads.info/choices and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org where you can opt out of many participating companies’ tracking cookies used for interest-based advertising. These opt-outs typically work by placing an opt-out cookie on your device, so if you clear cookies, you may need to repeat the process.

  • Do Not Track: Our site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. If we develop this capability in the future, we will update this Policy accordingly.

Keep in mind that even if you opt out of analytics and advertising cookies, you will still be able to use our website, but our understanding of how you use the site will be limited, and you might see less relevant advertising from us. We will continue to respect your privacy choices and only use the minimal data necessary for site functionality if you have opted out of tracking.

Your Rights and Choices

We believe you should have control over your personal information. Even though comprehensive privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA do not directly apply to our local operations, we honor several fundamental rights and choices regarding your data:

  • Access and Portability: You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold about you. This means you can ask us to confirm whether we are processing your personal information and request a copy of that information. We will provide you with the data we have, in a commonly used format, within a reasonable timeframe. For example, if you have submitted a service request form, you can ask us for a copy of the details you provided and any associated notes on our end.

  • Correction (Rectification): If any of your personal information maintained by us is inaccurate or outdated, you have the right to request a correction. For instance, should your contact information change or if you notice we misspelled your name, let us know and we will update our records. We strive to keep your data accurate and will make corrections as needed upon your verified request.

  • Deletion (Right to Erasure): You can request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you. If you no longer want us to have your contact info or other data on file, you may ask us to remove it. Provided we do not have a legal obligation or legitimate business need to retain it (for example, records of completed transactions or for warranty/service follow-up purposes), we will delete or anonymize your information. Note that if you request deletion of your data, and that data is necessary for us to provide a service you have requested, we may not be able to continue providing that service (e.g., if you ask us to delete your contact info while we are in the middle of a project for you, we would not be able to contact you about the project). We will inform you if such a situation arises.

  • Opt-Out of Marketing Communications: If we send any promotional emails or newsletters in the future, you will have the ability to opt out or unsubscribe from those communications. Currently, we primarily use your email/phone to respond to direct inquiries and to communicate about ongoing services you’ve requested. We do not spam our customers, and any marketing outreach will be infrequent and relevant to our services. You can always request that we stop contacting you for marketing purposes, and we will honor such requests. (Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you transactional or service-related communications, such as appointment confirmations or responses to specific questions you asked, as these are not promotional in nature.)

  • Cookies and Tracking Choices: As detailed in the Cookies section above, you have choices to limit tracking (through browser settings, opt-out tools, etc.). While this is not a “personal data” right per se, we reiterate here that you can exercise control over how your usage data is collected for analytics/advertising.

How to Exercise Your Rights: To exercise any of the rights above (access, correction, deletion, or opting out), please contact us using the information provided in the Contact section below. For security, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (for example, we might ask you to confirm some details we have on file or provide identification, especially for access or deletion requests, to ensure we don’t modify or release data to the wrong person). We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and let you know if any further information is needed. There is no fee for making such requests, though repeated or excessive requests may, in rare cases, incur a cost as permitted by law (we would inform you in advance if that were the case).

Please note that while we will make every effort to accommodate your requests, there may be circumstances where we cannot fulfill a request – for example, if fulfilling a deletion request would conflict with legal obligations (such as maintaining records of a transaction) or other lawful exemptions. In such cases, we will explain the reason we cannot comply fully with your request. Overall, your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to working with you to address any concerns about your personal information.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Rohrer Handyman Services has implemented a variety of security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These measures include:

  • Website Security: Our website is secured via industry-standard encryption protocols. For instance, when you submit information through our online forms, that transmission is protected by SSL/TLS encryption (you can see the padlock icon in your browser when accessing our site, indicating it’s a secure HTTPS connection). This helps ensure that personal details (like your name, address, or phone number) are encrypted while being sent to us and cannot be easily intercepted by third parties.

  • Access Controls: Internally, we limit access to personal information to those employees or contractors who need it to perform their job duties (for example, customer service staff responding to inquiries, or technicians who will be visiting your home for a service). These authorized personnel are trained on the importance of confidentiality and are required to handle your data in a secure manner. We implement user account controls, so only authorized accounts can retrieve or view customer information.

  • Secure Data Storage: Any personal information stored on our servers or in cloud services is protected by reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. This may include firewalls, intrusion detection systems, regular software security updates, and data backup procedures. If we maintain electronic databases of customer information, those databases are protected with authentication measures (passwords, encryption at rest, etc.) to prevent unauthorized access. Physical copies of any information (for example, printed service orders or contracts) are kept in secure locations not accessible to the public.

  • Third-Party Security: When we share data with third-party service providers (as outlined in earlier sections), we ensure through our agreements that they also commit to protecting your information. For example, our web hosting and form processing providers are expected to use robust security practices. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will follow all applicable laws and regulations to inform you and take necessary steps to remedy the situation.

  • Retention Practices: We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected (as described in this Policy) or as required by law. For example, if you submit a service request but do not end up using our services, we might retain your inquiry information for a certain period in case you return or for our administrative records, but we will not keep it longer than needed. If you become a customer, we may retain your contact and project information for our service history records (this can help with future projects or warranty issues). When personal data is no longer needed, we will securely dispose of it or anonymize it so you can no longer be identified.

By using our site and services, you acknowledge that you understand these security measures and their limitations. We work hard to protect your data, but if you have reason to believe that your interaction with us or your information is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of your account or personal data has been compromised), please contact us immediately using the contact information below so that we can investigate and resolve the issue.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our services (handyman and construction-related inquiries) are generally intended for adults (homeowners or those at least 18 years old). If you are under 13, please do not provide any personal information on this site. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe that their child may have provided us personal information can contact us, and we will work to remove the data and opt the minor out of any applicable services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page with a new effective date. For significant changes, we may also provide a more prominent notice (such as a banner on our website or an email notification, if appropriate). We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the Rohrer Handyman Services website after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of those changes.

This Policy is effective as of June 8, 2025. Any changes in the future will be noted with the date of revision. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your consent. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue use of our website and services, and you may request us to remove your information as per the Your Rights section above.
